Summer camp: payment and cancellation
The figures below are the camp settings in force when you read this page. The camp page and your confirmation quote the dates and amounts that apply to your registration; cancelling shows the credit before you confirm.
Deposit
The camp deposit ($25.00) is part of the week's price, not an extra charge on top. It is non-refundable: it is withheld in every cancellation tier. Full credit, partial credit, and none. Booking several weeks "to be safe" costs real money on day one.
Cancellation tiers
Tiers count back from the week's start date, not from the day you booked:
Full credit: cancel 30 or more days before the week starts and everything you paid is refunded as account credit, less the deposit.
Partial credit: cancel between 14 and 29 days before the week starts and 50% of what you paid is refunded as account credit, less the deposit. The share in force on the day you cancel is the one that applies.
No credit. Cancel inside 14 days of the week starting and nothing is refunded.
If you register close to the week, a cooling-off period of 14 days still applies, counted from the day you booked, so a late booking still gets a window of full credit. That cooling-off period never extends past the week's start date.
Weeks priced at or under the deposit
If a week's price is $25.00 or less, the deposit is the whole price. Every tier, including full credit, is then 100% non-refundable. There is nothing above the deposit to return.
Payment
Camp is due in full when you register. The invoice is due that day. An unpaid seat may be released 48 hours after that, so the spot can go to the next family on the waitlist, and the invoice is voided. A payment that is still processing is not treated as unpaid, and a part-paid seat is not released automatically.
Cash refunds
The default when you cancel from the member portal is account credit on the schedule above. That path has no administrative fee beyond the deposit.
If staff send the refund to your card or bank instead of issuing account credit, a $15.00 administrative fee may be withheld. Refunds the pool sends back through Stripe when it cancels a week do not include that fee, and they do not hold the deposit.
